Doris Day & Rock Hudson (weren´t there rumours that he was supposedly gay?) I think he was, Lea. There's this idea that it was covered by the studios otherwise his image of "galant" was lost and probably even his job (including marrying just to state the contrary).

I thought so. Back then they still had loads of problems with that subject. Two things: 1) This site/gallery is amazing for every fan of Classic Hollywood. http://www.simplyclassics.net/coppermine/index.php2) I found those pictures of Greta Garbo. Now I really do understand why she was called divine. She was! I particularly love those candids: I am stunned.

I personally think she's the most beautiful woman who ever lived.
Never seen that first pic. Thanks for posting.

Mansfield was Mariska Hargitay's mother. Great pic. Delon is a greek god. Liv and Max Von Sydow in the last Bergman's movie Saraband: And in The passion of Anna: I just saw Max in Through a Glass Darkly and he was terrific! Such an imposing presence on screen! Oh, I can't wait to get those movies in the mail! Thanks Daisy for posting! And lots of love for Garbo. Loni is the one who turned me on to her. She was beautiful and had a truly commanding presence onscreen, moreso than any other classic actress IMO. Of course, I haven't seen ALL classic actresses but from many I've seen they couldn't hold a candle to her strength and power.
