A Hidden Life by Adele Geras

I've been punishing myself reading that book but the last few chapters turned out to be okay.  I thought the book was gothic themed. icon_banghead  I was mislead by the summary.

Last book I read was Nick Hornby's "About a Boy", which had a different plot than the film, even though the ending was the same. I've come to really appreciate Hornby, because even though I regarded his books as superficial at first, they make me think. "A Long Way Down" is still my favourite, but "About a Boy" wasn't bad either.

Just started a biography of Madame Tussaud which is very interesting. It's more a social history in relation to Madame Tussaud than "deeply" biographical, but since her early life is poorly documented and apparently she made up the few things known about her before she became famous, that's actually appreciated.

Admittedly, it took me a while to get into it, but then I couldn't put it away anymore. definitely worth finishing, I'd say. nod

The most recent book I have read is Angels and Demons, and now I'm reading The DaVinci Code. I didn't think that I would like Angels and Demons but it is by far one of the best books I have ever read. nod It's a bit hard to get into at first, but then you fly through it! And The DaVinci Code is getting relly good too.  smile I highly recommend both of these books, they are way better than their corresponding movies.

I find the Da Vinci Code book fascinating because of the facts that were mentioned in the story.  However, when I watched the movie it was only then that I realized that the plot was sick .
